Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
We added strong-motion data sets in our previous collection, and the site characteristics at the S-net sites were investigated based on the horizontal-to-vertical spectral ratio technique. The results were presented at two national conferences. The horizontal and vertical component peak accelerations at the S-net sites in the Japan Trench area were compared with the values recorded by stations on the ground in and around the Kanto Basin. The results were presented at two international conferences and were published in an international journal. Horizontal component acceleration response spectra were compared between the land and S-net sites for nine moderate to strong earthquakes and the results were published in an international journal.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.
Reason
The data analysis and discussions between the research members were timely and the progress is smooth.
|
Strategy for Future Research Activity |
A manuscript is under preparation and will be submitted to an international journal. Presentations are planned for at least three conferences in this year. Future KAKENHI proposal will be planned to develop methodology to predict ground motions for earthquake early warning.
|
Causes of Carryover |
The cost of software prices were customized, and the field survey costs were also minimized by using the office vehicle. The amount will be used to pay for the publication costs of the research findings.
