Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, we conducted a survey to clarify consumer attitudes toward agricultural products produced by combining new technologies such as plant factories and genome editing, the factors that influence these attitudes, and the effects of providing information on safety and systems. Web-based surveys conducted in Japan and in the United States, Singapore, and Finland revealed that consumers' information access behavior and attitudes differ from country to country, and that their interest in and value of the technology and their trust in food safety initiatives have a significant impact on them.
