Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Language impairment is one of the major cognitive dysfunctions of dementia. We focused on grammatical impairment among them, and conducted research on psychological tests to detect grammatical impairment, neurodegenerative sites of each aphasic symptom, and therapeutic strategies that can be implemented inexpensively and in large numbers of patients. In this study, we examined the usefulness of the neuropsychiatric test using stimulus picture and word cards, language functions involving the cerebral cortex and subcortical gray matter/white matter, respectively, and the rate of continuation of speech-language activities using Internet videos at home.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
