NETs was presented in unstable plaque in histological specimen. There were significant difference between unstable and stable plaque(P<0.01) Our study suggested NETs play a crucial role of development of unstable plaque in carotid stenosis.

内頚動脈狭窄症の不安定プラークの発症機序をNETsの観点から解明した。今後の不安定プラークの創薬の一助になると考えられる。
