Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study focused on community-based health activities, known as “Chiku-Eisei-Soshiki-Katsudo,” which became increasingly active in post-war Japan. It aimed to clarify the actual situation from the perspective of community participation. The research examined the activities of community organizations initiated by residents in response to post-war measures against infectious diseases, as well as exemplary advanced cases led by public health centers. The findings revealed that the development and expansion of these activities were profoundly influenced by the promotion of health education, which emphasizes “learning through practice”.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
