Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Computational Thinking (CT), to think like a computer scientist, has attracted increasing attention and many efforts have been made to facilitate CT in primary and secondary education. This study proposed a method for higher education to facilitate learner CT through experience to construct models that have a computer simulate human problem-solving and developed its learning support system. It then conducted classes where general undergraduates enhanced their skills with computational models by using the system.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
Computational Thinking (CT)育成の取り組みは初等中等教育が中心であり,初学者向けのプログラミング環境を用いて,コンピュータに問題解決をさせることを通じて行われることが多い.高等教育においてもCTの育成は重要であるため,本研究では認知科学の分野においてコンピュータ科学者が用いてきた「人間の問題解決のコンピュータモデル構築」を,プログラミングの訓練を受けていない大学生が低負荷で経験することを支援する手法を実現した.
