Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
From the 3 articles included in the project, one is published, another one is approved for publication and the third one is submitted. The publications refer to empirical, conceptual and theoretical development regarding the participation of local communities into processes of tourism planning and management. The utilization of digital technologies is particularly important in one of them. These different results will support the publication of a book expanding the knowledge accumulated with the studies undertaken within this project.
Other publications and editorial work are also reported.
The results were presented in online internacional conferences.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
3: Progress in research has been slightly delayed.
Reason
As mentioned in the previous report, the 3 articles planned are based on international collaborations. The reorganization of individual works due to covid-19 implied some difficulties in the coordination between members. Thus, instead of 8 months per article, the plan has changed to one year per article (with a book being planned for the final year). An extension of one year will be required.
|
Strategy for Future Research Activity |
The 3 articles planned for the first 2 years will be published during 3 years (one already published, one approved and one submitted). The materials for the book planned for the final year are already being collected and organized according to a defined structure. An agreement with an international publisher (Springer) has been made.
|
Causes of Carryover |
Participation in international events and invitation of international researchers postponed due to travel restrictions related to covid-19.
