Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
3: Progress in research has been slightly delayed.
Reason
The execution of research one and two was delayed due the influence on the research environment by the worldwide Covid-pandemic. According to the original research schedule for the period under review the analysis of primary sources of the late 18th and early 19th century as well as the presentation of research results was planned. This plan was slightly delayed. However, because a one-year-extension of the present research project was granted the completion of the project by the beginning of the year 2024 is to be expected.
|
Strategy for Future Research Activity |
The key objective for the year 2023 is the presentation of research results at national and international conferences and in order to discuss them with specialists in the field. Furthermore, the publication of two articles presenting results of the present research is planned. Moreover, preparations for a book publication of the present research project in the year 2024/25 are expected to be completed by the end of the year 2023 (the presentation is planned for the year 2024/25)
|
Causes of Carryover |
The incurring amount of funding is going to be used for the completion of research phase 3 and the preparation of a book publication of the research results of the present project. Furthermore, additional research trips to archives around Japan are planned, e.g. the Library of Osaka University. Finally, the acquisition of primary sources, collection of edited primary sources as well as new secondary literature is required.
