Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
In previous years, my research has centered on Frances Browne’s works, their modern theatrical adaptation performed in 2021, and the contextual environment surrounding the production. I conducted qualitative interviews with the playwright and a literary manager from one of Ireland's major theaters. The findings from these interviews were presented at two conferences, where I received valuable feedback from peers. This year, my primary focus has been on refining my manuscript for publication.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
3: Progress in research has been slightly delayed.
Reason
As previously reported, the COVID-19 pandemic spanning 2020 to 2022 significantly disrupted my research project from its inception during the funded period. This unforeseen circumstance necessitated changes in my working methods and unexpectedly increased my workload. As a result, I have had to continually adjust my research schedule to manage these challenges while maintaining focus and ensuring the quality of my work.
|
Strategy for Future Research Activity |
In FY2024, my objective is to finalize my manuscript by integrating gathered data and analysis. This process will entail synthesizing findings and refining arguments for clarity and coherence. Once completed, I aim to submit the manuscript to a peer-reviewed academic journal for publication.
|
Causes of Carryover |
The COVID-19 pandemic led to unforeseen increases in workload and deviations from initial plans, resulting in further delays to crucial aspects of my research project. As I enter this final year, my primary objective is to complete and refine my manuscript for publication.
