Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this study was to explore the possibility of implementing EMI in healthcare colleges, where there are few reports of EMI practices. As a result, 94 out of 287 healthcare colleges participated in the online survey nationwide in 2021 (collection rate: 32.8%). The results showed that most of the schools (78 schools, or 83.0%) had not implemented EMI. The most common reason given was that "we had not considered its implementation," followed by "it might prevent students from understanding content," and "securing human resources is difficult.". On the other hand, only 14 universities (14.9%) were offering EMI.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
