Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
Thanks to the Kakenhi I received, I was able to present my study at the American Association for the Applied Linguistics 2023, Portland, OR. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I was unable to use my funding within the timeframe I had planned. However, with the recent easing of COVID-19 restrictions, I was able to travel to the U.S. to present my study.
The preliminary findings show that L2 learners’ writing behaviors and linguistic complexity were affected by differences in genre and proficiency.
I am working on writing a paper on this subject and will submit this piece to a journal in applied linguistics.
