Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Recovery is a key element in the life support for persons with mental illness as an international trend in mental health welfare. However, the perspective in life support practice toward the support of recovery that emphasizes the subjectivity and individuality of people with mental illness is not clear. In this study, longitudinal research was conducted to examine the association between recovery and difficulties in daily life. The results showing that difficulties in daily life, negative experiences in daily activities, and global functioning are significantly associated with recovery indicate that life supports that reduce difficulties in daily life and negative experiences in daily activities may enhance the progress of the recovery process. The findings may provide basic information for life support systems that contribute to the recovery of persons with mental illness and the reduction of their difficulties in daily life.
