Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this study was to explore compromises between the national standard and diverse implementations in education for living together by using the Republic of South Africa (RSA) as an example. Specifically, this study conducted literature reviews by using foregoing studies, the RSA’s governmental documents, school textbooks, etc., and researches at a public school and education department in the province of the Western Cape in RSA. As a result of the study, it was revealed, for example, that in the current RSA, teaching/learning of diversity and unity is taken place in school education through subjects such as Life Orientation, and the concepts such as ‘citizen(ship)’ were dealt from various perspectives in them.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
