Outline of Final Research Achievements

Schools are experimenting with the practice of art education that approaches local and social issues. Many children's participation workshops related to exhibited works are held at art museums and local art festivals. However, no research has been conducted on the level of content development based on the structural problems of modern society. Therefore, it is necessary to reflect on whether the function of art, which is criticism of society, economy, and politics, has taken root in the context of art education. In this research, political art is defined as art that is tinged with criticism of society, economy, and politics that face contemporary issues. Then, from the context of citizenship education, we will try to redefine its significance in art education and clarify the possibilities in educational practice.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
