Outline of Final Research Achievements |
(1)The Japanese version of the Child and Adolescent Social Support Scale (CASSS) was developed, and its structural and construct validity was confirmed by a survey of 1,068 students from third grade to ninth grade. The scale can be used to comprehensively assess social support among elementary and junior high school students. (2)A hierarchical linear model was used to analyze the data of 692 students with first to third grades and their parents from 25 classes in four junior high schools. The results showed that the higher level of classmate support as a classroom level buffered the association between ASD trait and conduct behaviors. These findings suggest the importance of creating a supportive classroom group in preventing a secondary disability of developmental disorders.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
