Outline of Annual Research Achievements

For the development of the culturally salient dictionary of emotions (main study), data from the three countries (Japan, Brazil and the US) was successfully collected. Manuscript is under preparation and should be submitted for publication soon. Preliminary results were presented at the Cultural Psychology and main conferences of the annual convention of Society for personality and Social Psychology (Atlanta, USA).
Data related to culturally specific emotions (awe, amae, and saudade) was also collected from the same three countries. Analysis of this data will enrich the main study, and may yield another article for publication. Preliminary results will be presented at the 87th Annual convention of the Japanese Psychological Association in 2023 (Kobe, Japan).
