Outline of Final Research Achievements

Designing supply chains is the most important management strategy for companies to increase the efficiency of production and logistics in order to pursuit profits. On the other hand, the pursuit of profits has led to the environmental destruction of the earth, poor labor conditions, and non-involvement in local economies, and this has led to a growing awareness of the corporate social responsibility of companies. In recent years, the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) have set goals that seem to conflict with the pursuit of corporate profits. Therefore, there is a need to redesign an optimal closed-loop supply chain that takes into account the environmental aspects and regional revitalization based on the facilities and resources owned, rather than the supply chain design that has been done in conventional research.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
