Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
In this fiscal year, six papers and one textbook were published, which are summarized as follows: (1) We found an unusual thermoelectric behavior in 3D Dirac and Weyl semimetals, called the Hall thermoelectric effect. We also found that the van Hove singularities of the 3D nodal-line semimetal can enhance thermoelectric performance. (2) We designed a new 2D Janus material, Ge2SSe, which can synthesize and show high performance for thermoelectric and photocatalytic. (3) We published a book introducing first-principles calculations using the Quantum ESPRESSO package, a powerful tool for multidisciplinary research. (4) We collaborated with the experimental groups to study the optic and Raman spectra of 2D and 1D materials, such as graphene, MoTe2, W6Te, etc.
