Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
Porous magnets that feature magnetic ordering and porosity can induce magnetic bistability through the guest IN/OUT, showing promising applications in information storage and so on. However, there are rare examples of the magnetic ground state changes caused by guests. Here, we attempt to regulate the electron/spin state of porous magnets via host-guest electron transfer (HGET) to achieve magnetic phase transition. According to this concept, the following results were obtained: (1)The electron-donor type porous magnet was synthesized; (2)During I2 adsorption, the dynamic magnetic characteristics of a porous magnet were examined. The magnetism was reversibly switched between antiferromagnet and paramagnet via HGET. (3)The electrical conductivity was a hundred-fold enhanced by I2 adsorption.
