Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
In order to evaluate the effect of Bifidobacterium longum extract on anti-fatigue and muscles atrophy in mice, we perform some exercises on mice. We created a muscles atrophy by cast immobilization of mouse's hindlimb for 10 days. The results showed a significant increase of running distance of BL-treated mice compared with non-treated mice. Moreover, the power strength of muscles was significantly increased in dose dependent manner in treated groups compared with non-treated group. Finally, BL at 50mg/kg significantly increased the muscles weight compared with non-treated mice.
