Project Period (FY) |
2020-04-01 – 2022-03-31
|
Keywords | ubiquitin / polyubiquitin / binding domains |
Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
Ubiquitin chains and binding proteins were successfully purified. ITC and NMR experiments proceeded as anticipated. Future studies are on the way. MD simulations also indicate an interesting mechanism for the physiological implications of the competition mechanism.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.
Reason
Thanks to acquisition of the new FPLC system "AKTA Go" all purification tasks have been successfully accomplished. Assignments of A20 in the bound state have also been obtained and competition experiments are on the way.
|
Strategy for Future Research Activity |
Further verification of the competition between A20, NEMO, and HOIL-1L by ITC and NMR experiments are warranted.
|
Causes of Carryover |
Travel expenses could not be used because of the pandemic situation all over the world. Therefore, a substantial amount of travel expenses have been carried to over to the next fiscal year.
