Outline of Final Research Achievements

Blood flow simulation by computational fluid dynamics using CTA images showed that anatomical changes on the donor vessel in may affect postoperative blood flow changes STA-MCA bypass surgery. We also showed that similar simulations might predict the outcome of balloon test occlusion for cerebral large vessls. In addition, the results of treatment for patients with acute large vessl occlusion were shown in terms of posterior circulation occlusion and atherosclerotic lesions, respectively.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
