Outline of Final Research Achievements |
By combining fluorescently labeled cell wall polysaccharide-binding proteins, mechanical fluorescence microscopy, and image analysis using software, the researchers were able to quantify changes in the amount and localization of cell wall polysaccharide components of the pathogenic fungus Aspergillus fumigatus during mycelial growth and during death by antifungal drugs, without destroying the fungus' morphology.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
