Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
Cloned and studied efflux pumps from multiple bacteria, now still being researched. Interesting results have been come to light regarding the function of RND-type multidrug efflux pumps, their evolution, their conservation, and their function.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
1: Research has progressed more than it was originally planned.
Reason
More pumps were active than hoped for, and plenty of data has been produced, especially taking into account the COVID-19 pandemic which caused slight delays.
|
Strategy for Future Research Activity |
Continue with the research as planned and perform experiments based on the positive procedures and results obtain in FY2020.
|
Causes of Carryover |
Delays due to the pandemic, experiments will be carried out from FY2020 and FY2021 onwards, products and services (such as DNA and peptide synthesis) will be requested from FY2021 onwards.
