Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
In the financial year 2021, I completed the design and implementation of GeoFlink framework and wrote a Journal paper which has been accepted IEEE Access. In this financial year, we extended the preliminary prototype of GeoFlink developed in last financial year. The extension include the support of different spatial objects besides spatial point, i.e., Polygon and LineString. Besides, extensive experiments are performed to evaluate the GeoFlink frameowrk. The complete framework is available on Github as an open source and is also registered as an AIST intellectual property.

2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.
Reason
As initially planned, I could complete the GeoFlink framework design and implementation during this financial year. Besides, as planned, a conference and a journal paper have been published.

Strategy for Future Research Activity |
Most of the initially planned work related to the project has been completed. In the next financial year, I will develop a demo system on top of GeoFlink and write a demo paper to demonstrate the proposed GeoFlink using real data streams.

Causes of Carryover |
Due to COVID last year, the planned business trips could not be conducted. Thus the amount could not be consumed as expected. So it will be used in the next financial year.
