In 2022, final field work was completed during the first quarter. Data was analyzed in the summer.While we to publish our data on the impacts of Olympics and Rugby World Cup by the end of 2022, this was not feasible and will be published in 2023.However, due to the unique situation of this topic and the impact of the Coronavirus on Japanese tourism, we had conducted original research on its impact. In 2022 we successfully published one article in regards to the coronavirus, as well as two other journal articles utilizing data from this Kakenhi grant and a past JSPS post-doctoral grant.
