Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this study was to gain insight into the early detection and support of children at high risk for ADHD who are expected to have learning and interpersonal difficulties after school age. 21 preschoolers between the ages of 5 and 6 years old were administered the WISC-IV. The results revealed that among the cognitive functions of verbal comprehension, perceptual reasoning, working memory, and processing speed, difficulties in working memory were more pronounced in children at high risk for ADHD. In addition, ADHD high-risk children showed relative strength in the language aspect. It can be said that support that takes these cognitive characteristics into account should continue to be provided after schooling.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
