Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, we proposed practical design and guidance control methods for quasi-satellite orbit, QSO, which are attracting attention in planetary satellite exploration, and demonstrated their usefulness by numerical analysis. Design methods and guidance of orbit maintenance for stably staying in QSO even under perturbation by full ephemeris were derived. Through the analysis of orbital operation of Hayabusa2, we deepened our knowledge of instability in low-altitude orbit, and also devised an orbit transition method to solve the instability in a specific low-altitude region of QSO, and evaluated operational safety. Finally, we demonstrated the QSO guidance law including not only the orbital dynamics but also the spacecraft system, which simultaneously optimizes the orbital stability and power, and presented a multifaceted and practical QSO utilization policy.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
