Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We addressed fundamental problems in machine learning that are expected to be extended to the quantum machine learning framework. The main result is developing a method for the approximate evaluation of free energy in Markov random fields, an important model class when considering applications to quantum machine learning, using a sampling method called annealed importance sampling.
