Research Abstract

本研究では、高温磁化非平衡プラズマを対象とし、ミクロ揺動とメゾスケール揺動、更にはマクロスケールの長距離相関揺動が生成消滅する、多スケールな「乱流プラズマ構造」の時空間構造やヒステリシス等の物理過程に取り組み、熱平衡状態からかけ離れた乱流媒質に特有な、大域的・動的乱流輸送にかかわる法則の定式化を目指している。熱流と勾配の関係について、従来局所的拡散的関係が信じられていたが、本研究を通じ、ヒステリシスを含む新たな輸送関係を提示する事に成功した。今年度は、その全体像を取りまとめた。特に、(1)乱流熱輸送と乱流揺動の双方が同位置の勾配とは異なる時間応答を示す事を確実なものとし、動的輸送関係実験法を確立した。(2) シミュレーション研究を展開し、動的輸送の観測・解析法を開拓した。(3)非局所的な輸送をもたらす原因を探求し、乱流塊の大域的な伝播現象の観測に成功し、また、乱流揺動の非局所的非線形結合を観測する事に成功した。(4)乱流輸送を制御する新しい熱力学的な力の研究を進め、位相空間と実空間の非線形結合が結びつく過程の理論研究を発展させた。加えて、(5) マイクロ波コムを活用した非平衡プラズマ計測法の開拓、 (6) 乱流揺動を用いた新しいプラズマパラメーター診断法の高精度化など、揺動計測の進歩をもたらした。
これらの成果ではe-Scienceの導入により理論・シミュレーション・実験の連携による統合研究の高効率化が重要な役割を担った。上記成果のトカマク実験への適用も成果をあげた。トカマク装置 (HL-2AおよびJFT-2M)の乱流データに本研究で得られた方法を適用し、L-H遷移近傍での自律振動における物理過程をはじめ多くの研究成果をあげ、トーラス乱流実験の国際的先導を強化し、中間評価で指摘されたコメントにも応えた。以上のように研究の目標が達成されるとともに、研究のとりまとめを行った。
