Research Abstract |
Horizontal coordination among pluralistic actors is essential for policymaking and legislation in contemporary networked society. Urban governance therefore demands effective corporations between public and private sectors both with diverse activities. Our research sets up a new paradigm of laws and regulations based on the perspective. The paradigm also finds Japanese society in transition from economic growth and rapid increase in urban population to economic stagnation and population decline. Theoretical and practical problems of urban law arising from the transition are explored and articulated.
