Research Abstract |
In this project, we conducted experimental studies on human perception-action systems developed in real complex environments. Specifically we investigated expertise perception in sport, spatial cognition during walking, and musician’s ability to learn second language. Our research revealed: expert sport players are superior to non-players in anticipating forthcoming plays; walking through a narrow aperture reflects laterality in spatial cognition; musicians are better than non-musician in speech recognition of their second language as well as native language.
