Research Abstract |
Boron(B) is an essential micronutrient for higher plants, but excess amounts of B inhibit growth of crops. In this study, excess B tolerance in rice plants was studied, and we identified a gene responsible for tolerance to B toxicity, named BET1. We also bred an excess B tolerant near-isogenic line of the popular indica cultivar IR64.
