Research Abstract	The periodontal ligament(PDL) fibroblasts have been suggested as multipotent cells. Periodontal ligament fibroblasts differentiate into osteoblasts and cementoblasts. We established HPDL-iPS cells from the human periodontal ligament(HPDL) fibroblasts. However, in this study, we observed several abnormal karyotype in HPDL-iPS cells. We also observed immature cells in the teratoma. Further study is necessary to clarify the propensity of HPDL-iPS cells to differentiate and to explore safety issues.
