Research Abstract |
In the present experiments conducted on rats, it was shown that vitamin C administration did not hinder the high intensity intermittent endurance training-induced increase in citrate synthase activity, PGC-1α protein content and Mn-SOD protein content. It was also shown that vitamin C administration did not suppress the low intensity prolonged endurance training-induced improvement of insulin sensitivity.
