Research Abstract |
Mae Sot on the Thai-Myanmar border is geo-politically strategically positioned in Thailand's economic development, and numerous international treaties and further has many refugee camps in its outlying areas. It also lies within a minority cultural linguistic zone across the national border. The migrants who keep coming in an incessant flow, form their social network and living within the various constraints, and this in turn, constitutes the social space in the border region.
