Research Abstract |
This study is aimed at an exhaustive research on monuments in a Japanese local city Fukuoka, including historical Buddhist temples & Shinto shrines, nameless small street statues, as well as secular arts in open air. On the basis of the collected 775 data, the possible typology of city monuments is :(1)religious monuments(2)monuments of mourning & disaster(3)monuments of commemoration & honor(4)monuments of articulation & hope.
