Research Abstract |
We studied how trust and social norms work in the voluntarily separable Prisoner's Dilemma models. We have shown that costly and voluntary information transmission using reference letters improves equilibrium efficiency. We also have shown that, when a certain condition holds, equilibrium involving both cooperative and non-cooperative strategies is more efficient than equilibrium with cooperative strategies only.
