Research Abstract |
We have constructed new models for cosmological inflation and density perturbation based on gauge theory in higher dimensions. They reproduce astrophysical data naturally by choosing a small number of parameters, solving the fine-tuning problem in the inflaton potential. Extending this idea to higher-dimensional gravity we have constructed an inflation model by identifying the radion with inflaton.
