| Research Abstract |
Polymers consisting of aromatic rings and/or heterocycles were synthesized by organometallic polycondensation using metal complexes such as nickel complexes. The polymers contained side chains such as alkynyl groups and oligo-thiophene units. Electronic and optical properties as well as molecular assembly of the polymers were investigated.
