Research Abstract |
An electronic structure of hydrogenated ZnO is investigated by surface-science techniques utilizing synchrotron radiation. Hydrogenation induces two-dimensional metallicity with a free-electron-like property and realizes a high electrical conductivity at the ZnO surface. The usefulness of hydrogenated ZnO as a novel transparent conductive material is proved.
