Research Abstract |
We generated highly thermostable reverse transcriptases from Moloney murine leukemia virus and avian myeloblastosis virus(E286R/E302K/L435R/D524A and V238R/L388R/D450A, respectively) by site-directed mutagenesis. It is suggested that introduction of positive charges into reverse transcriptases at positions that have been implicated in the interaction with T/P is effective to stabilize reverse transcriptases.
