Research Abstract |
We found that a membrane-bound serine protease MT-SP1 induces detachment and apoptosis of intestinal epithelial IEC-6 cells. Also, we found that a recombinant form of MT-SP1 pseudozymogen exhibits a protease activity and that the activity is not seen in the presence of NaCl.
