Research Abstract |
Clinical significance of HCV core region, to antiviral therapy and clinicopatological features, was investigated. Substitutions of amino acid 70 and 91 of HCV genotype 1b could predict the response to peginterferon/ribavirin combination therapy and new therapy with Telaprevir. Furthermore, those also affected clinical outcome, including hepatocarcinogenesis, glucose metabolism, and lipid metabolism.
