Research Abstract |
Salivary proteins reacted with 30% H_2O_2, resulting in fragmentation of certain proteins. Also, we detected in-office bleaching agent in their capacity to remove human salivary protein components penetrated into the enamel subsurface lesions. Furthermore, western blotting with antibody against serum statherin indicated that antibody response of statherin in the lesions was undetectable after the in-office bleaching. These results indicate that bleaching will be useful for advancing of enamel remineralization.
