Research Abstract |
Oral psychosomatic disorders have various "medically and psychiatrically unexplained oral symptoms". In the diagnosis and treatment for this syndrome, more careful attention should be paid to not only oral symptoms but also subclinical mental disorders from our results. Antidepressants were effective for chronic oral pain, but not enough for oral(occlisal) dysesthesia. Our SPECT study suggested asymmetries of brain perfusion in these patients.
