Research Abstract |
We investigated local structures of molybdate, tungustate, and other ions adsorbed at the solid-water interface, based on which we can understand the solubilities of various ions in seawater, isotopic fractionation of elements in marine environment etc. Furthermore, systematic variation in the affinities of various ions on oxides can be explained possibly by acid dissociation constant and other thermodynamic parameters.
