Research Abstract |
We have explored low temperature states of new materials to search for novel quantum phases and phase transitions due to quantum criticality and geometrical frustration, and have discovered novel phenomena such as a quantum criticality without tuning in a metal, an anomalous metal due to the Kondo effect using quadrupolar degree of freedom, a zero field spontaneous Hall effect in a spin liquid state, and spin-orbital short-range order on a disordered honeycomb lattice.
