Research Abstract |
This study clarified that microorganisms contribute to biochemical characteristics of natural organic matter through microbe-derived amino acids and amino sugars in the decay and diagenesis processes, and that GlcN/GalN ratio is a potential index showing an universal pattern of organic matter diagenesis in various environments.
