Research Abstract |
Estimates of broadband source processes are essential to perform broadband ground motion simulation from long- to short-period ranging around 0.1 to 10 s. This study focused on frequency-dependent source images and proposed source models for broadband ground motion simulation, especially targeting on large earthquakes. As results, we developed the double-corner source spectral model to simulate long-period and short-period ground motions and validated the methodology to extend slip velocity time functions into shorter period range.
